Office Manager/Bookkeeper
About the role
We are looking for an experienced and driven Office Manager | Bookkeeper to join our team at the Australian Training Institute's new location in Albion, Queensland. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant operation of our office, as well as enhancing the experience of our trainers, operations staff, and students. You will manage a diverse office team, handle financial processes, and maintain our office systems for streamlined performance in a fast-paced environment.
What you'll be doing
- Overseeing the general administration of the office, including answering phones, scheduling, and filing
- Leading and supporting an operations team with a focus on compliance and productivity
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and all other bookkeeping tasks
- Preparing financial reports, budgets, and tax documents
- Coordinating office supplies and managing equipment needs
- Supporting the management team in daily tasks and special projects
- Ensuring adherence to RTO standards and compliance with all regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years in a similar role with a strong background in office management and bookkeeping
- Excellent people management skills to ensure staff productivity and accountability
- Experience with Xero accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with RTO compliance requirements and best practices in office administration
