AusQ Training is a registered training organisation that specialises in providing traffic management and construction training services across WA. We provide training services to a wide range of customers including government, utility providers, private employers, job providers, and event organisers just to name a few. We have office locations in North Lake and Bunbury and provide onsite training solutions anywhere across WA.

We are looking for two (2) Trainer & Assessors to join us, either someone who is…

1. Qualified & Experienced Trainer & Assessor

  • Hold Certificate IV TAE40116 qualification or higher
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience working in the civil construction and/or traffic management industry.
  • Hold a current Main Roads WA Basic Worksite Traffic Management & Traffic Controller (BWTM & TC) accreditation or higher

OR

2. Industry Experienced & Wanting To Become A Qualified Trainer

  • We are a company that opens doors to new opportunities for people. Therefore, if you have minimum 3 years of work experience working in the civil construction and/or traffic management industry, we are open to providing support to help the right candidate become a qualified trainer in this field.

We have the flexibility to consider either full-time, part-time or casual position types to suit the individual.  This position can be based from either North Lake or Bunbury office.

These positions don't come up often.

As a Trainer & Assessor, you will be relied upon to deliver an exceptional training experience to our customers. Your level of engagement, confidence, ability to create a comfortable learning environment, and desire to help will directly influence their decision to come back and use our services again.

We are solution-focused and are looking for our next team members to possess the adaptability and tenacity to learn new systems and processes while also thinking about how we can be more effective and efficient.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accredited and non-accredited traffic management and civil construction training services to a range of learner cohorts across WA – creating engaging and fun environments that foster learning
  • Accurately and thoroughly undertake an assessment of learners and award outcomes
  • Securely handle and store student and business records in a confidential manner – ensuring we can put our hands on any required document, at anytime
  • Actively engaging students and employers to provide valuable and constructive feedback during and after services have been delivered
  • Ensuring training rooms, on-site locations, and customer areas are presented clean, tidy, and safe for training
  • Knowing that punctuality and reliability for every course are required

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following;

  1. Established high-level communication and confidence to present to a wide range of people (ability to create engaging and fun learning environments) – this is super important to us and something that we will test to make sure you bring extra value to our team!
  2. Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and basic PowerPoint.  Open to using a range of technology and systems
  3. Availability to work across the Perth metropolitan and South West areas, and the ability to work away at various locations across WA
  4. Top-notch organisation skills and the ability to manage time and work schedules
  5. National Police clearance
  6. Is reliable, punctual, and reliable. Yes, we repeated 'reliable' because if we can't count on you, then that will count you out
