STEPS Group is seeking experienced LLND Trainers in Alice Springs to deliver Language, Literacy, Numeracy, and Digital skills training through the Skills for Education & Employment (SEE) Program. This full-time role involves delivering contextualised training, adapting to client needs, networking with local organisations, and maintaining compliance through accurate assessments. Applicants must hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher), the TAESS00026 Foundation Skills Integration Skillset (or be willing to obtain it), have 100+ hours of adult education experience, and respect diversity and Indigenous cultures. A current driver’s licence and the ability to pass a National Police Check are essential. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are encouraged to apply. The Alice Springs site is constantly growing. We are looking for experienced trainers to work on site to deliver basic Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital skills (LLND) training through the Skills for Education & Employment (SEE) Program, and to assist with networking with local organisations and stakeholders in the region for student referrals.

The Position:

As a LLND Trainer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and contextualised language, literacy and numeracy training.
  • Provide flexible delivery, adapting resources to meet the individual needs and learning goals of clients.
  • The ability to problem solve and overcome challenges to meet the requirements of the contract.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and be able to market the SEE Program.
  • Undertake accurate assessment and record keeping to ensure compliance and consistency.


The Successful Applicant:


To be considered for this opportunity you must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a current TAE40116 Certificate IV Training and Assessment OR higher level adult education qualification.
  • Hold the Foundation Skills Integration Skillset TAESS00026 (or have the ability to obtain within your first 3 months of employment).
  • At least 100 hours of adult education experience.
  • An understanding of and respect for diversity and Indigenous Australian culture and customs.
  • The ability to complete a National Police Check and hold a current Driver Licence.
