ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an incredible opportunity for you to join a team whose primary mission is to help keep people safe, meet health and safety obligations, develop strong safety cultures, and improve people's lives through education. Our Administration Team is incredibly proud of the service we provide and are looking for a new team member to join us in a full time capacity at our facility located in Murarrie, QLD.
Duties include:
- Maintain effective relationships and communication with remote and local assessors to determine their availability and workload and feed any changes or new information through to the Coordinators
- Answer calls from students on the Online Faculty 1300 number, resolving short course and procedural queries independently, and distributing those requiring academic guidance to the appropriate Assessor or Department.
- Provide a basic level of technical support to students and Assessors, including virtual classroom functions, and offering troubleshooting steps
- Be a point of contact to support distance-based students studying online with initial queries, using a variety of media including phone, Moodle messaging, forums, email and Big Blue Button
- Reply to emails and messages from students, Online Trainer Assessors and other internal and external stakeholders; referring enquiries and issues to the Online Faculty Coordinators, when required
- Refer questions and posts to the appropriate OTA and/or to the Online Faculty Coordinators, as required
- Maintain student file notes in Job Ready, including feedback and results of phone calls received from OTAs
- Assist with accurate Online Faculty KPI Reporting - maintaining data and ensuring current data is available for reporting
- Contribute to the team-oriented culture within the Online Faculty
Essential Criteria:
- Proficient in the use of computer systems (word processing, spreadsheets and databases).
- A keen eye for detail regarding data entry and accuracy of paperwork.
- Efficient and accurate keyboard and data entry skills.
- Confident, self-motivated and always looking for ways to improve.
- Flexible attitude and ability to work autonomously.
- Be a team player in the true sense – supportive, interactive, solution-oriented.
- Have excellent time management and take ownership of your work.
- The ability to work independently and alongside a team located across Australia.
Desirable Criteria:
Previous RTO experience in a similar role would be advantageous
Strong digital literacy
