The Institute of Training and Further Education( iTFE) is looking for a dynamic WHS Trainer and Assessor based in the Melbourne to provide quality training and assessment services in a class room environment / online workshops / workplace visits to professional participants. The ideal candidate will not only meet the criteria below, but also be available for approximately 2 - 3 days per week with expectations for future growth.

Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

Essential criteria:

  • VET training and assessing experience is essential in Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety for minimum of 2 years.
  • Relevant business experience to meet VET industry currency requirements.
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or equivalent competencies.
  • Hold a current drivers licence and own reliable transport
  • Enjoy working with all ages to get the very best of the student, whether this be face-to-face / Zoom / email or telephone or in the work place.
  • A flexible approach to training and assessing.
  • Able to develop relationships with key stakeholders within the business, employers and students.
  • Time-management and computer literacy skills.
  • Student completion focus
  • Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed
  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided
  • Participate in trainer and assessor moderation and validation activities
  • Participate in relevant professional development activities
  • Undertake & facilitate VET professional development activities
  • Highly regarded if you have experience in Cloud Assess and Vet Trak systems
