Are you an accomplished senior leader with a passion for operational excellence and strategic growth?
Axial Training is inviting expressions of interest for the position of General Manager for training operations. This key executive role is responsible for overseeing all operational, administrative, and training functions within the organisation, while supporting the CEO to deliver strategic outcomes and drive sustainable growth.
This role will be pivotal in ensuring the organisation delivers high-quality training outcomes, maintains regulatory compliance, and builds strong stakeholder relationships across industry and government.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day operations across training, administration, and support teams
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies (e.g. ASQA, DESBT, NSW Training Services)
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery, student experience, and operational processes
- Lead, mentor and develop cross-functional teams to meet performance and quality targets
- Oversee business planning, budgeting, and reporting functions related to operational performance
- Develop and maintain key relationships with industry partners, clients, and government stakeholders
- Support the CEO with strategic initiatives and step into a second-in-charge (2IC) role when required
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience in a senior operational or general management role, ideally within the VET or education sector
- Deep understanding of compliance, funding, and regulatory frameworks
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities across teams and complex projects
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen with a hands-on approach
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
